In an operations update, W&T Offshore Inc. encountered pay on Ewing Bank Block 910. The #5-A (ST) OCS G24990 hit 160 ft of gross hydrocarbon pay. The development test is expected to be online in the second quarter of 2015. The venture bottomed to the north beneath South Timbalier Block 320 at an unreported total depth. According to IHS, the original hole was drilled in 1999 to 13,101 ft, 12,158 ft true vertical. Online for three months, the well produced 24.402 Mbbl of crude and 40 MMcf of gas through Pliocene perforations at 11,955-75 ft. The Houston-based company is planning a new development test from the A Platform.
