IHS Markit reported that CTR Oil Inc. plans to drill another Wilcox oil test in LaSalle Parish, La. The Searcy Field venture, #001 Weyerhaeuser, will be drilled to 3,750 ft and is in Section 13-8n-2e. Jonesville, La.-based CTR Oil has had a Wilcox program in this part of North Louisiana since the beginning of 2016. One mile to the southwest of #001 Weyerhaeuser is the company’s #2 Placid Fee in Section 23. The 3,700-ft Trout Creek Field well was tested in late 2016 flowing 21 bbl of crude per day from 2,877-81 ft. A June 2016 completion to the south, #1 Placid Fee was tested 75 bbl of 40-degree-gravity crude per day from Wilcox at 3,340-43 ft.
