The investment bank ROTH Capital Partners said on Aug. 14 that John White joined as its senior research analyst for the resources sector, focusing on oil and gas.

“John is our second dedicated research analyst in the resources sector, joining Joseph Reagor, who already covers over 15 resources stocks for the firm,” said CEO Byron Roth.

“John’s addition to our team comes at a time when we are expanding our footprint in the oil and gas sector. John’s strong technical background and research experience will reinforce and expand our already deep domain expertise and leadership in the sector,” he added.

White was a portfolio manager and analyst with Triple Double Advisors LLC, covering publicly traded equities in various energy subsets. For 11 years, at Natixis Bleichroeder and Next Generation Equity Research, he covered small-and mid-sized exploration and production companies. He also worked at BMO Capital and John S. Herold Inc. as an analyst, ROTH added.

“I am delighted to join ROTH, a highly regarded investment bank with a strong and growing track record in the resources sector. It will be exciting to expand the oil and gas coverage for ROTH during this renaissance in the North American energy industry,” White said.

He holds a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s of business adminstration from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, the bank noted.

ROTH Capital Partners is based in Newport Beach, Calif.
