Western Gas Partners LP (NYSE: WES) said Feb. 13 that Benjamin M. Fink has been named president and CEO, succeeding Don Sinclair, who plans to retire.
Fink has served as senior vice president of finance and CFO for Western Gas since 2009. He also held the position for Western Gas Equity Partners LP (NYSE: WGP) since its formation in 2012.
In anticipation of his retirement, Sinclair stepped down from his officer positions at Western Gas and as senior vice president of midstream at the company's sponsor, Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC).
Fink will replace Sinclair as a director of Western Gas and will remain the company's principal financial and accounting officer until his successor is named.
Sinclair will continue to serve as senior adviser to Anadarko Petroleum and Western Gas.
In addition, Craig W. Collins has been named senior vice president of operations and COO of Western Gas. Philip H. Peacock has been named senior vice president of counsel and corporate secretary of Western Gas. Peacock previously served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary beginning in 2012.
The management promotions are effective Feb. 13, the Houston-based company said.
