Weatherford International Plc and Nabors Industries Ltd. will deliver enhanced drilling solutions to the Lower 48 oil and natural gas land market. The companies signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding, they said Feb. 1.
Weatherford will contribute well construction expertise, managed pressure drilling solutions, directional drilling capabilities and drilling hardware, and associated software applications and engineering personnel.
Nabors will contribute its fleet of MPD-ready SmartRigs and land-optimized MWD, and performance drilling software applications, automated rig equipment and proprietary control systems.
