Producers in the natural gas heavy Marcellus Shale are starting to make news again as evidenced by last week’s blockbuster merger between EQT and Rice Energy, which will result in EQT becoming the largest natural gas producer in the U.S.

At last week’s DUG East conference and exhibition in Pittsburgh, the industry’s northeast power players were on hand and had plenty to say about the Marcellus/Utica and the reawakening of the Appalachian oil and gas industry.
