South Texas is at the crossroads of a rapidly developing trend for exporting dry gas from the United States to Mexico. Industrial users in Mexico are contracting with U.S. gas producers for gas, while new pipelines tying gas in South Texas to users in northeast Mexico are well underway. The potential volume of gas exports will have a far greater impact on U.S. natural gas than LNG exports.
