Returning for its fourth consecutive year to Colorado, the Vail Global Energy Forum (VGEF) will take place March 13-15, 2015 at the base of Beaver Creek Resort. The event is presented by Stanford University, the Precourt Institute for Energy, and the Vail Valley Foundation
“This year, we’re excited to focus on the remarkable rise of North America as a global energy powerhouse as well as the significant development of new energy technologies,” said Jay Precourt, founder of the VGEF. “Our featured speakers and panelists include distinguished North American government officials, corporate executives, research scientists, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investors and world-renowned journalists who focus on topics ranging from oil and gas exploration and energy policy to sustainable development and new energy research.”
Bringing together prolific minds in today’s energy, environment and policy matters, the Vail Global Energy Forum has quickly become a premiere setting to share research, insight and thoughts about the state of our global energy resources and infrastructure.
An opening night keynote address from former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will bring into focus the major energy issues facing our nation and our global economy. This year's forum will bring together government leaders, including U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Ernest Moniz and his official counterparts from Canada and Mexico, along with thought leaders from business and academia to discuss the rise of North America as a global energy powerhouse and the future of clean power and transportation.
Ticket purchases include a $175 donation credit to help fund the VGEF 2015 Student Scholarship program. For additional information on the Vail Global Energy Forum, contact the Vilar Performing Arts Center Box Office at (970) 845-TIXS (8497) or visit www.vailglobalenergyforum.com.
