Jeff Tillery, managing director and co-head of research, will become co-head of capital markets, Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (TPH) said Dec. 1. Tillery’s appointment becomes effective that day, the firm added.

Tillery has nearly 15 years’ experience in senior energy equity research, and for the last five years he was head of research for TPH. Tillery will co-head the expanded capital markets team with John Kennedy, the firm added.

The capital markets group focuses on utilizing the firm’s energy sector relationships and knowledge to raise public, private and strategic partner capital for its clients.

In conjunction with this transition, W. Mark Meyer, managing director and current co-head of research, will become the head of research. Meyer joined TPH in February 2015 and has nearly 30 years’ experience in the energy sector. For the last 16, he was a lead sell-side E&P analyst and buy-side portfolio manager.

The firm also said that Byron K. Pope, managing director and co-head of oil service research, will become the firm’s head of oil service research. Byron, who joined TPH predecessor firm Pickering Energy Partners as a founding member in 2004, has worked on the sell-side and the buy-side.
