SM Energy Co. (NYSE: SM) appointed Rose M. Robeson as an independent director, the company said July 14. She will also serve as a member of the board of directors’ audit and compensation committees, the company added.
"We are pleased to have an individual of Rose’s reputation and experience joining SM Energy. Rose brings a strong background in finance and accounting, with more than 25 years of experience in our industry. She will enhance the diverse expertise, knowledge, and skills brought to our company and its stockholders by our board. I look forward to her advice and counsel as we continue to execute our growth strategy," Bill Sullivan, chairman of the board, said.
Most recently, from 2012 to 2014, Robeson was senior vice president and CFO of DCP Midstream GP LLC, the general partner of DCP Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: DPM), SM Energy said. From 2002 to 2012, she was group vice president and CFO of DCP Midstream, the company added. She also worked for Kinder Morgan Inc. (NYSE: KMI) from 1996 to 2000, where she was vice president and treasurer, the company noted.
Denver-based SM Energy Co. explores and develops North American oil and natural gas.
