Select Sands Acquires Additional Acres On St. Peter Sandstone Formation

American Select Corp. completed the purchase of 457 additional acres of property near parent Select Sands Corp.’s Sandtown location for about US$950,560, Select Sands said Jan. 25.

The property, which is known as the Bell Farm, is underlain by the St. Peter Formation, a sandstone source of Northern White Tier-1 frack sand.

Select Sands said more work will be done to determine the sand’s quality and quantity in the property boundary, but said at this time it is not known whether this property contains an economically viable amount of sand.
