Description
WPX Energy Rocky Mountain LLC has completed its initial horizontal San Juan Basin-Gallup exploratory test on the Kimbeto Wash Unit in New Mexico. The #771H Kimbeto Wash Unit initially flowed 341 bbl of oil, 2.116 MMcf of gas and 694 bbl of water per day. The discovery is in Section17-23n-9w of San Juan County. Production is from a 12,515 ft horizontal lateral in Gallup that bottomed in Section 18. The true vertical depth is 4,511 ft. The Tulsa-based company tested the venture on a 32/64-in. choke following 35 stage of fracturing between 5,223 and 12,381 ft with a flowing casing pressure of 1,410 psi.
