Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A Fort Bend County (RRC Dist. 3), Texas, completion by Aspect Energy LLC has reopened Needville South Field. The Upper Texas Coast discovery, #1 AE Marjorie Bailey, is on a 200-acre lease in Robert Hodge Survey, A-33. It was tested flowing 683 Mcf of gas per day through Miocene perforations at 4,075-76 ft. The venture was drilled to 8,700 ft in Vicksburg before being plugged back to 4,490 ft for completion. The flowing tubing pressure was 1,858 psi when tested on a 10/64-in. choke. The completion offsets a Frio well drilled in 1949 at #1 J.R. Farmer. Between 1959 and 2009, Needville South Field recovered 9.5 Bcf of gas from Miocene (3,600-4,100 ft) and Frio (5,600-7,200 ft). Previous drilling occurred in 2005. Aspect is based in Denver.
