Repsol USA has made an oil discovery on Keathley Canyon Block 642, on-trend with numerous Lower Tertiary finds in the ultra-deepwater Gulf. The Leon discovery, #1SS (BP) OCS G33335, hit 492 ft of net oil pay within a column of 1,300 ft. The well was drilled to 31,771 ft in 6,140 ft of water. Additional information is currently not available. The Madrid-based company's Leon prospect is on blocks 642 and 686.
