Halcón Resources Corp. (NYSE: HK) opened a private placement of $500 million, in aggregate principal amount, of senior secured notes, the company said April 21.
The notes are due 2020. Second-priority liens on all Halcón's and its subsidiary guarantors' assets secure the senior secured revolving credit facility, and these will also secure the notes.
Net proceeds will repay some outstanding facility borrowings and support general corporate purposes.
Houston-based Halcón Resources Corp. produces and develops domestic natural gas and oil.
