On Oct. 6, Forest Oil Corp. (NYSE: FST) and Sabine Oil & Gas said that their proposed merger transaction is ongoing.
Forest’s shareholders will meet Nov. 20 to consider and vote on the merger. Shareholders of record, as of Oct. 3, will be able to vote. The Securities and Exchange Commission’s proxy statement review is underway, the companies added.
The statement, containing more information, will be mailed to shareholders, the companies noted.
Denver-based Forest Oil Corp. produces and develops domestic natural gas and liquids.
Houston-based Sabine Oil & Gas LLC produces and develops domestic oil and natural gas.
