Deer Creek Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: DCE) has completed its amalgamation with 1202655 Alberta Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Total E&P Canada Ltd. The combined company will be called Deer Creek Energy Ltd. Total Canada now owns 100% of the common shares of Deer Creek. Holders of Deer Creek's common shares have received one redeemable preferred share in the amalgamated company for every common share held. The redeemable preferred shares will be redeemed for C$31 per share. Deer Creek's board of directors is now comprised of Jean-Luc Guiziou as chairman, Humbert de Wendel and Anita O'Brien. Deer Creek is an oil sands company engaged in the development of its Athabasca oil sands deposits.
