St. Mary Land & Exploration Co., Denver, (NYSE: SM) has acquired assets in South Texas from an undisclosed seller for $29.5 million in cash. The assets include operated 100% working interest (22.5% net revenue interest) in the Olmos shallow gas formation in the Catarina Field in Webb and Dimmit counties, Texas. Net production is 2.9 million cubic feet of gas equivalent per day (98% gas). Net proved reserves are 14 billion cubic feet equivalent (99% gas, 65% proved developed).
