Westerville, Ohio-based Bakerwell's project is in Virginia Military Survey 3324, Lake Township. 7 North Coast Energy Inc., Twinsburg, Ohio, says it has spudded an exploratory test targeting the Cambro-Ordovician Knox Unconformity on the company's Adamsville Prospect in Muskingum County, Ohio. North Coast has drilled and completed four Knox wells during the last 14 months on the Adamsville Prospect. The most recent of these discoveries produced about 20 million cu. ft. equivalent in 30 days and is currently producing about 1 million cu. ft. equivalent per day. North Coast holds a 100% working interest in the Adamsville Prospect. In West Virginia, the company has moved a rig to its Belleville Prospect in Wood County. Plans are to test Silurian Lockport Dolomite to a depth of 5,630 ft. Secondary targets are Devonian Oriskany, Brown Shale and Berea. North Coast also has completed its 37-well development program on its proved undeveloped leaseholds in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Eleven of these wells are already in production and 26 are in various stages of completion. 8 Pennsylvania General Energy, Warren, Pa., is drilling toward a projected depth of approximately 10,000 ft. at the #1371 Fratarcangelo, an Ordovician Trenton-Black River wildcat in Steuben County, N.Y. IHS Energy Group reports the drillsite is in Section A of Big Flats Quad, Hornby Township. 9 Several Trenton-Black River exploratory tests are scheduled to be drilled in New York's Chemung County.
