1 Mewbourne Oil Co., based in Tyler, Texas, completed a Bone Spring oil discovery on the Carlsbad Shelf in Eddy County, NM The #1H Voyager 11 EH Federal Com initially flowed 266 bbl. of 43.7-degreegravity oil, 1.32 million cu. ft. of gas and 2,973 bbl. of water. Production is from a fracture-treated zone at 6,370-10,650 ft. It was drilled to 10,680 ft. and the true vertical depth is 6,208 ft. The initial pilot hole was drilled to 8,450 ft. in Section 11-20s-27e, and the lateral bottomed to the east.

2 A Bone Spring completion by Caza Oil & Gas Inc. was reported on its Copperline prospect in Lea County, NM The Delaware Basin venture, #4H Caza Ridge 14 State, is in Section 14-23s-34e. It was fracture stimulated in 24 stages and under controlled flowback, Caza has recorded steady producing rates with a peak daily rate of 1,004 bbl. of oil and 1.3 million cu. ft. of gas. The initial pilot hole was drilled to about 11,750 ft. and was completed at 15,775 ft., 11,394 ft. true vertical, with a north-trending lateral. Caza is based in Midland, Texas.

3 Red Mountain Resources Inc. completed a high-volume Delaware Basin well in Lea County, NM The #3H Madera 24 Federal had an initial daily potential of 1,212 bbl. of 42-degree crude, 1.68 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,050 bbl. of water. Production is from a fracture-treated openhole Delaware interval at 8,550-13,570 ft. The 13,570-ft. horizontal is in Jabalina Southwest Field and has a true vertical depth of 9,062 ft. It was drilled in Section 24-26s-34e. Dallas-based Red Mountain has permitted several additional horizontal Delaware tests in the area.

4 According to IHS Inc., Fort Worth-based Jetta Operating Co. has completed a horizontal Bone Spring well in Reeves County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, in a portion of Two Georges Field. The #1H Jim Keith Camp A 6-3 pumped 146 bbl. of 40-degree-gravity oil and 437,000 cu. ft. of gas per day from a fracture-treated interval at 10,439-15,141 ft. The horizontal leg was drilled to 15,445 ft., 10,438 ft. true vertical. The producer is in Section 3, Block 6, H&GN RR Co Survey, A-13. The Fort Worth-based operator has permits to drill two 11,000-ft. horizontal Bone Spring wells in Ward County, #1H Trott 34-183 and #1H Barstow Unit 33-39.

5 A Dalhart Basin exploratory test by Arrow Oil & Gas LLC pumped 118 bbl. of 36-degree-gravity oil and 248 bbl. of water per day. The #3 Mansfield Dome 48 is in Section 301, State Capitol Lands (Abner Taylor) Survey, A-419, Oldham County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The 6,740-ft. venture produced from Canyon reef at 6,546-52 ft. following a small acid cleanup. Arrow Oil & Gas' headquarters are in Norman, Okla.

6 A Devon Energy Corp. completion was announced at a western Anadarko Basin extended-reach horizontal well. The discovery is in Section 167, Block 41, H&TC Survey, A-241 in Hemphill County, (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #1H Mathers Ranch 167 (Allocation) produced 12.1 million cu. ft. of gas, 454 bbl. of 55-degree-gravity condensate and 1,280 bbl. of oil per day. The well was tested on a 64/64-in. choke, and the flowing tubing pressure was 600 psi and the shut-in tubing pressure was 1,795 psi. The Mathers Ranch Field well was drilled to 18,451 ft., 10,297 ft. true vertical, and bottomed 1.5 miles to the south in Section 156, Block 41, H&TC Survey, A-811. It was perforated and fracture stimulated in Des Moines Granite Wash A at 10,370-18,353 ft. Devon is based in Oklahoma City.

7 Two horizontal Atoka granite wash completions were announced by Linn Operating Inc. in the Anadarko Basin. The Frye Ranch Field wells are in Wheeler County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #8H Black 50 is in Section 50, Block A-3, H&GN Survey, A-8461. It produced 17.5 million cu. ft. of gas, 401 bbl. of 52-degree-gravity condensate and 6,165 bbl. of water per day. The 18,562-ft. well was drilled northward to a true vertical depth of 13,963 ft. in Atoka B and was acidized and fracture stimulated in 14 stages between 14,294 ft. and 18,438 ft. Tested on a 128/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,190 psi. In Section 50, #12H Black 50 initially flowed 17.1 million cu. ft. of gas, 275 bbl. of 49-degreegravity condensate and 7,794 bbl. of water per day. Production is from a parallel Atoka B interval at 14,178-18,459 ft. that was fracture-stimulated and acidized in 14 stages. Gauged on a 64/64-in. choke, the shut-in tubing pressure was 70 psi and the flowing tubing pressure was 1,000-psi. The respective measured and true vertical depths are 18,661 ft. and 14,053 ft. Both new producers were drilled from multiwell pads and tapped the younger Des Moines granite washes. Linn's headquarters are in Oklahoma City.

8 A Nolan County (RRC Dist. 7B), Texas, oil discovery by Lariat Land & Exploration Inc. has re-established Tannehill recovery in Beckham Field. The #1 Beckham flowed 64 bbl. of 39-degree-gravity crude and one bbl. of water per day from natural perforations at 3,619-24 ft. Gauged on a 16/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 100 psi. The 3,696-ft. well was drilled to 3,696 ft. and is in Section 56, Block 5, T&P RR Co. Survey, A-1745 and was plugged back to 3,692 ft. The 140-acre Bend Arch lease is on the southernmost flank of Beckham Field. Lariat's headquarters are in Abilene, Texas.

9 Two horizontal Hogshooter discoveries were reported by Linn Operating Inc. in Roger Mills, County, Okla., in the Anadarko Basin. The #7H Cooprider 18-11-25 is in Section 18-11n-25w and flowed 4.85 million cu. ft. of gas, 1,545 bbl. of 54-degree-gravity condensate and 4,665 bbl. of water per day. Production is from perforations at 11,769-16,543 ft. after a 12-stage acidizing and fracturing. The flowing tubing pressure was 2,170 psi when tested on a 128/64-in. choke. The respective measured and true vertical depths are 16,639 ft. and 11,547 ft. In the greater Mayfield Field region, #8H McGuire 12-11-26, in Section 12-11n-26w, produced 897 bbl. of 49.5-degree-gravity oil with 2.95 million cu. ft. of gas and 6,310 bbl. of water daily. Tested on a 128/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 160-psi. The venture was perforated, acidized and fracture-stimulated in 12 stages between 11,634 and 16,282 ft. in a south lateral. The 16,380-ft. well has a true vertical depth of 11,631 ft. Linn is based in Oklahoma City.

10 From a Nemaha Ridge drill-pad, a horizontal venture by Longfellow Energy LP pumped 702 bbl. of 43-degreegravity oil with 1.32 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,430 bbl. of water per day. According to IHS Inc., #22-M4H Hladik is in Section 14-19n-5w of Kingfisher County, Okla. The well is producing from an acidized and fracture stimulated open-hole Mississippian interval at 6,727-11,295 ft. The well was drilled southward and bottomed in Section 22-19n-5w at a true vertical depth of 6,224 ft. Longfellow's headquarters are in Addison, Texas.

11 Calyx Energy LLC completed two horizontal Mississippian wells in Payne County, Okla. The #7-1MH Hildebrand is in Section 6-18n-4e and pumped 767 bbl. of 39-degree-gravity oil, 199,000 cu. ft. of gas and 2,828 bbl. of water per day. It was perforated, acidized and fracture stimulated at 4,379-8,083 ft. in a south lateral terminating in Section 7-18n-4e. Measured and true vertical depths at the Riley North Field well are 8,135 ft. and 3,950 ft. In Section 29-19n-4e, #29-2MH Penny had an initial daily pumping potential of 254 bbl. of 38-degree-gravity oil with 941,000 cu. ft. of gas and 2,892 bbl. of water per day. The 8,506-ft. well had a true vertical depth of 3,911 ft. Production is from acidized and fracture-stimulated perforations at 4,399-8,454 ft. in a south lateral. Calyx is based in Tulsa.
