The drilling and formation evaluation division of the Energy Services Group of Halliburton, Houston, (NYSE: HAL) plans to acquire Calgary-based Ultraline Services Corp., a division of Savanna Energy Services Corp., Calgary, (Toronto: SVY) for US$177 million. Ultraline provides wireline services in Canada, including cased-hole wireline and production logging services.
