Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown Inc. , New York, has appointed Michael V. Johnson managing director and co-head of energy investment banking in the Americas. Johnson held senior investment banking positions with the energy and power groups at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and SBC Warburg. Also, DBAB has hired John G. Kennedy III in equity capital markets and Mitchell Cox and Antony Lundy in investment banking. Other recent additions to the group are former Morgan Stanley bankers Jerome Schretter, Daniel Ward and Daniel Kim. Wells Fargo has appointed Gary T. Brednich energy lender. Brednich has more than 25 years of experience in banking and petroleum engineering. The global energy business unit at Zurich North America has incorporated the organization's marine group to form a restructured entity known as Zurich Global Energy and Marine .
