A 10,000-ft Rodessa wildcat is planned by East Texas Energy Corp. in Cherokee County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas. The vertical #1 Gorko is on a 40-acre lease in the Levi Jordan survey, A-28 and is in Lone Oak Field. A successful completion would reopen the field, which last produced in 2003. Nearby Rodessa gas production is about one mile to the northeast at #1 McVicker: it was completed in 1982 flowing 135 Mcf of gas from 8,962-9,060 ft and was drilled to 9,125-ft and recovered just 1.2 million cu ft of gas. East Texas’ headquarters are in Katy, Texas.
