Continental Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLR) priced a private placement of two separate series of senior unsecured notes, the company said May 12.
The group of 3.8% notes due 2024 was priced at $1 billion, and the group of 4.9% notes due 2044 was priced at $700 million, the company said, noting the $1.7 billion total.
The notes were sold at 99.644% and 99.717% of par, respectively, the company added.
Net proceeds will repay outstanding revolving credit facility debt, the company said. Proceeds will also finance the redemption of 8.25% notes due 2019, and support general corporate purposes, the company added.
The offer is scheduled to close May 19, the company said.
Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. produces domestic oil.
