Bracewell & Giuliani LLP said Jan. 15 that it launched the ShalePlay app to provide news and other information on shale gas and hydraulic fracturing, including industry trends and updates. It is optimized for iPhone 5 and fits iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. An Android version will be available in the first half of the year, the firm said.

Bracewell & Giuliani’s chief marketing officer Paul Grabowski calls it “a one-stop shop for shale-related content.”

The free app will allow companies and individuals to stay connected to sector developments, the firm added.

It holds aggregated news, legislation and regulation updates, shale studies, analyses from the firm’s attorneys and interactive shale play maps, the company said. Additionally, there is a glossary and a fracing timeline, the company said.
