Bayswater Exploration & Production LLC said Aug. 2 it entered a definitive agreement to sell a portion of its oil and natural gas properties in the Denver-Julesburg (D-J) Basin to Extraction Oil & Gas LLC for an undisclosed amount.
Bayswater is a Denver-based oil and gas development company established in 2004. The company owns and operates properties throughout the Rocky Mountains, Midcontinent, California and the Permian Basin, according to its website.
Following the closing, Bayswater will continue to operate a significant portfolio of oil and gas properties in the D-J Basin. The transaction is expected to close on or before Sept. 30, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
Extraction Oil & Gas is a private equity-backed E&P also based in Denver. The company has operations in the Greater Wattenberg Field of Colorado’s D-J Basin.
