Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Two Miocene wells have been completed in Bay Marchand Block 2 Field by Chevron USA Inc. The new producers are in Louisiana state waters in Lafourche Parish. The #67 SL 01367 had an initial daily potential of 1,198 bbl. of 32.1-degree-gravity oil, 540,000 cu. ft. of gas and 104 bbl. of water from a Miocene zone at 5,238-5,310 ft. The producer was drilled to 5,483 ft., 4,890 ft. true vertical, from a surface location in the eastern portion of irregular Bay Marchand Block 3. In irregular Block 2, Chevron also tested #82 SL 01366 that flowed 158 bbl. of 30.3-degree-gravity oil, 16,000 cu. ft. of gas and 12 bbl. of water daily from a perforated Miocene zone at 5,950-86 ft. The flowing tubing pressure was 150 psi when tested on a 44/64-in. choke. The deeper zone at 6,710-6,810 ft. was completed for an additional 65 bbl. of 21-degree-gravity oil and 143,000 cu. ft. of gas per day. The well was drilled to 6,990 ft. with a true vertical depth of 6,534 ft. Chevron's headquarters are in Houston.
