The Williams Cos. Inc. (NYSE: WMB) said Jan. 9 it promoted Scott Hallam to serve as senior vice president over the company’s Atlantic-Gulf operating area succeeding Frank Ferazzi, who is retiring after a decades-long career at Williams.
Hallam brings nearly 20 years of experience in the natural gas industry, most recently serving as vice president and general manager of eastern interstates in the Atlantic-Gulf operating area that included management of Williams’ Transco pipeline system which is a major provider of natural gas to the northeastern and southeastern states. He was also previously vice president over operational activities in Williams’ Northeast G&P operating area and, before that, led development and operations in the Utica as a general manager for Access Midstream.
“I am pleased to announce this well-earned promotion for Scott,” Micheal Dunn, executive vice president and COO of Williams, said in a statement. “Whether leading operations and commercial activities for Transco, Cardinal Pipeline and Pine Needle LNG or leading operations in our Bradford, Utica and Susquehanna supply hubs as he has done at Williams, Scott has distinguished himself as a talented leader whose focus on strong execution and customer service has consistently delivered outstanding results.”
Hallam’s predecessor, Ferazzi, will retire after a 40-year career in oil and gas including more than 20 years at Williams.
A Michigan native, Ferazzi began his career in 1978 with ANR Pipeline (formerly Michigan Wisconsin Pipe Line Co.) in Detroit. He later relocated to Houston in 1981 to work for Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. (Transco) for 12 years until the company was acquired by Williams in 1995. He was named to his most recent position as senior vice president of Williams’ Atlantic-Gulf operating area in July 2017.
Dunn praised Ferazzi for his work at Williams, including in his latest role in the Atlantic-Gulf operating area where the Atlantic Sunrise pipeline extension in the Marcellus was recently completed.

“Frank’s many contributions to Williams have been significant and long-lasting,” he said. “The successful commissioning of several large-scale expansion projects under his leadership, including Atlantic Sunrise, have positioned Williams to serve the growing demand for our services. We wish Frank all the best in his retirement.”
