Description

A wildcat Cretaceous Frontier discovery was announced by ConocoPhillips Co. on the western flank of the Powder River Basin. The horizontal well, #4778 7-1FH Ghost Rider, is in Section 7-47n-78w of Johnson County, Wyo. It initially pumped 23 bbl of oil with 355 Mcf of gas and 505 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,756 ft to the north to 15,498 ft, 11,727 ft true vertical. It was tested following 20-stage fracturing between 11,993 and 15,340 ft. ConocoPhillips is based in Houston.
