Description
Denver-based Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. completed two high-volume Middle Bakken wells from a drillpad in Section 6-153n-98w in Williams County, N.D. The #153-98-1-6-7-16H P. Johnson flowed 3.899 Mbbl of 41.7-degree-gravity oil, 8.922 MMcf of gas and 3.04 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,375 ft southwestward to 20,921 ft, 11,137 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 7-153n-98w. It was tested on a 48/64-in. choke following 38-stage fracturing at 11,572-20,786 ft with a flowing tubing pressure of 2,450 psi. The #153-98-1-6-7-16HA P. Johnson flowed 3.638 Mbbl of oil, 8.274 MMcf of gas and 3.523 Mbbl of water per day from 11,541-20,534 ft. It was tested on a 48/64-in. choke after 35-stage fracturing. The lateral in Middle Bakken extends from 11,383 ft southward to 20,656 ft, 11,047 ft true vertical, and bottomed Section 7-153n-98w.
