Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. completed three horizontal Three Forks (Sanish sand) producers on its Lewis & Clark prospect in North Dakota. The #34-12TFH Smith is in Section 12-140n-100w of Billings County and initially flowed 2,446 bbl. of oil and 2.96 million cu. ft. of gas day. It was tested through a 48/64-in. choke with a flowing casing pressure of 875 psi, following 30 stages of fracture stimulation. The Three Forks lateral was drilled northward to 21,362 ft. The #21-14TFH Lydia is in Section 14-140n-99w of Stark County, N.D., and initially flowed 1,645 bbl. of oil and 1.89 million cu. ft. of gas per day. Gauged on a 48/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 600 psi following 30-stage fracture stimulation. It was drilled to 20,434 ft. and the true vertical depth was estimated at 10,684 ft. Denver-based Whiting's #21-18TFH Hecker, in Section 18-140n-99w, is in Stark County and flowed 3,106 bbl. of oil, 3.0 million cu. ft. of gas and 2,989 bbl. of load water per day. Production is from a fractured Three Forks lateral at 20,485-22,024 ft.
