Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLP continued the expansion of its Pittsburgh office with the addition of an oil and gas group led by Dennis R. Very and including Robert J. Waine, the company said on Nov. 28.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dennis and Bob to the firm,” Martin Fletcher, Whiteford’s managing partner said. “We are increasingly active in the region’s energy sector and their tremendous oil and gas experience adds significantly to our capabilities.”
Both Very and Waine have experience in-house, as well as in private practice. Dennis Very formerly served as a senior executive responsible for compliance and legal affairs at an oil and gas exploration and development company. He has experience in complex commercial, bankruptcy and energy litigation in state and federal courts. Waine’s experience in the oil and gas sector is particularly strong in real estate transactions involving oil and gas resources.

Whiteford’s recent growth in Pittsburgh has included the addition of Jeffrey M. Friedrich, an experienced corporate associate, as well as a move to an expanded and centrally located office in the city’s downtown business center.
