Jacob Shumway, vice president of engineering at FourPoint Energy, sat down for a one-on-one interview with Hart Energy’s Jessica Morales at the recently held DUG Executive conference in Houston. Among the topics discussed were the emergence of the big data era in oil and gas, including how his company handles data mining to its advantage.
On the exploration side, Shumway discussed the Granite Wash and targets in western Oklahoma. “We think there is a lot of running room left in the Pennsylvanian rocks in the Western Anadarko, he said.
He also discusses higher liquids pricing is affecting developmental plans in the various Midcontinent plays.
