In Section 25-152n-100w of McKenzie County, N.D., Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. completed a high-volume horizontal upper Three Forks producer in the Williston Basin. The #31-25-2TFH Koala as tested flowing 3.438 Mbbl of oil, 5.093 MMcf of gas and 4.925 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,613 ft southwestward to 20,780 ft with a bottom-hole location in Section 36-152n-100w. The true vertical depth is 11,245 ft. It was fractured in 40 stages between 11,680 and 20,609 ft and tested a 60/64-in. choke with a flowing casing pressure of 1,809 psi. Whiting is based in Denver.
