Description

In Butler County, Pa., Rex Energy Corp. announced results from two Marcellus Shale wells that were completed from its Butler pad in Queen Junction Field. The #1H Klever Unit was tested through acid- and fracture-treated perforations flowing 35.6 MMcf of gas, 237 bbl of condensate and 110 bbl of water per day. The horizontal leg was drilled to 10,737 ft and bottomed a mile to the southeast with a true vertical depth of 5,656 ft. The offsetting #2H Klever Unit was tested flowing 36.5 MMcf of gas, 772 bbl of condensate and 88 bbl of water per day from an unreported acid- and fracture-stimulated Burkett Shale interval. The #2H Kelver is in Section 1, East Butler 7.5 Quad, Concord Township and bottomed two miles to the south and was drilled to 15,933 ft, 5,101 ft true vertical. Rex is based in State College, Pa.
