Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Three high-volume Barnett wells in the Fort Worth Basin were completed by EOG Resources Inc. of Houston. According to IHS Inc. the completions are in eastern Montague County (RRC Dist. 9) Texas. The #1H Alamo A Unit flowed 323 bbl. of 41.7-degree oil, 1.45 million cu. ft. of gas and 571 bbl. of water per day from fracture-treated Barnett shale perforations at 8,120-13,022 ft. The flowing tubing pressure was 226 psi on a 1-in. choke and the shut in casing pressure was 787 psi. The well was drilled to 13,132 ft., 7,552 ft. true vertical, in Section 11, Calhoun County School Land Survey, A-121. From an offsetting surface location, EOG completed #2H Alamo A Unit flowing 451 bbl. of 41.8-degree crude, 1.35 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,091 bbl. of water per day. Fracture-stimulated perforations are at 7,820-12,860 ft. On a 1-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 138 psi and the shut-in casing pressure was 848 psi after drilling to 12,968 ft., 7,420 true vertical. The #3H Alamo A Unit was drilled to 12,705 ft., 7,534 true vertical, and tested through fractured perforations at 8,120-12,593 ft. The initial daily potential was 208 bbl. of 40.5-degree oil, 168,000 cu. ft
