IHS Markit reported that Siskiyou Energy LLC is drilling a vertical deeper pool test in Monroe City Consolidated Field. The #2 Martindale-Burke is in irregular Section 11-2n-9w in Knox County, Ind. The well has a planned depth of 3,200 ft and is targeting oil pays in Devonian. Offsetting the San Antonio-based company’s drillsite is Siskiyou’s #1 Martindale, which was completed in 2017. The 2,380-ft well was tested pumping crude from an undisclosed Mississippian zone. Production in this part of Knox County comes from hundreds of wells in Monroe City Consolidated Field, which was opened in the 1920s. Many of the wells in the field were drilled to total depths of around 1,500 ft with the deepest production coming from pays in Harrodsburg in the southern portion of the reservoir.
