Description

A 3,500-ft exploratory test in northern Gibson County, Ind., has been scheduled by Siskiyou Energy LLC. IHS Markit reported that the San Antonio-based company’s #1 Raj Cool Hand will be in Section 12-1s-11w and the vertical test is targeting Devonian oil pay. Several wildcats have been drilled in Section 12 to 2,100-2,900 ft. The deepest test in the section, #1 Fee, was drilled in 1982 to 2,900 ft in Warsaw with some oil shows at an unreported depth. Nearby production is in Patoka East Consolidated Field, which is within 2 miles to the south-east. A well completed in 1960 in Section 13 at #1 Lanphar flowed 20 bbl of crude per day through perforations in St. Genevieve at an unreported depth. Patoka East Consolidated Field was opened in 1947.
