Drilling Activity Summary

Description

W&T Offshore Inc. reported that #18-A-18 OCS G12010 logged 149 ft of net oil pay in five zones and extended the size and depth of Mahogany Field in Ship Shoal Block 349. Production is from T (Pliocene) Sand, which was discovered in mid-2013 by an earlier well. The venture bottomed to the south in Ship Shoal Block 359. Area water depth is 370 ft. According to W&T, the discovery confirmed that T Sand is present and oil-bearing on the west side of the field, and it also logged and penetrated four additional attractive pay sands. No total depth was disclosed. After casing the T Sand, an exploratory sidetrack was drilled—approximately 950 ft deeper—beneath the main well target and discovered an additional pay interval in a deeper U Pliocene Sand interval. Houston-based W&T holds a 100% working interest in Mahogany Field.
