Drilling Activity Summary

Description

W&T Offshore Inc. announced a completion at its Ship Shoal Block 300 project. According to the Houston-based company, #5-B (ST) OCS G07760 was completed in late 2017; the offshore Louisiana sidetrack logged 173 ft of hydrocarbon pay in multiple stacked oil sands in a previously undrilled fault block. The discovery extends the limits of the field. The dual-zone Pleistocene completion had a peak flowrate of approximately 1.1 Mboe per day (95% oil) from the initial two intervals. W&T operates and holds a 79% working interest in the well. The initial hole was abandoned at 4,427 ft in 1991. Wells on the Block 300 lease produce oil and gas through a range from Pleistocene at 2,600-9,400 ft.
