Sempra Energy, San Diego, (NYSE: SRE) and its subsidiary, Pacific Enterprises, reported the redemption of all outstanding shares of Pacific Enterprises preferred stock.
The shares of preferred stock are no longer issued and outstanding, and holders of preferred stock will be entitled to receive only the respective redemption prices (including accrued and accumulated dividends through June 30, 2011) in respect of their shares.
The total cost of the redemption was approximately $81 million.
Record holders of shares of preferred stock who have not yet received the applicable redemption prices are encouraged to surrender their share certificates and return a completed Letter of Transmittal to American Stock Transfer & Trust Co. LLC, which will serve as the redemption agent.
