Description
SDX Energy completed a production test at appraisal well #3X-SD in the Nile Delta South Disouq Concession in Egypt. The well flowed at a maximum rate of 16.1 MMcf per day of gas during an 8-hour cleanup period and was then shut-in for 8 hours with no observed pressure decline. The company tested it on several choke sizes and it flowed for two successive 6-hour periods at average rates of 5.3 MMcf and 8.4 MMcf per day, with one extended 12-hour flow period of an average 10.5 MMcf per day. The well was shut-in for a pressure build-up and testing and will suspended before being connected to the local production facilities. SDX is the operator of the South Disouq Concession with 55% interest in partnership with IPR Energy Resources with the remaining 45%.
