Description
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has completed a horizontal Niobrara producer on the southern edge of the Powder River Basin. Located in Section 34-33n-68w in Converse County, Wyo., #3368-27-N3XH Shawnee-Federal initially flowed 891 bbl of 40.8-degree-gravity oil, 1.2 MMcf of gas and 1,252 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a two-section lateral in Niobrara extending from 8,693 ft to the north to 20,107 ft. It bottomed in Section 27-33n-68w with a true vertical depth of 10,229 ft. It was tested on a 26/64-in. choke after 51-stage fracturing between 10,610 and 19,910 ft. Anadarko’s headquarters are in Houston.
