Norwest Energy NL is underway in the Permit TP/15 area of offshore Western Australia at exploration well #1-Xanadu. The Perth Basin venture has been drilled to 975 m and has a planned depth of 1,863 m. The Xanadu Prospect has an unrisked recoverable resource of 160 MMbbl of conventional oil. The primary target is the Permian Dongara Sandstone, with secondary targets in the Irwin River Coal Measures and the High Cliff Sandstone. The structure is considered to be one of the biggest untested oil targets in the basin. Norwest, based in Perth, is the operator of TP/15 and #1-Xanadu, with 25% interest in partnership with Triangle (Global) Energy Ltd. with 30%, 3C Group IC with 30% and Whitebark Energy Ltd. with 15%.
