Description

IHS Markit reported that a Wolfcamp discovery by Santo Petroleum has extended Pitchfork Ranch South Field in Lea County, N.M. The #002H Ocotillo Sunrise 15 WA AP Fee flowed 1.461 Mbbl of 46.6-degree-gravity crude, 2.349 MMcf of gas and 2.717 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 12,760-17,113 ft. The Delaware Basin well was drilled to 17,232 ft in Section 15-25s-34e. The lateral had a true vertical depth of 12,571 ft and bottomed about 1 mile to the south. It was tested on a 30/64-in. choke and the flowing casing pressure was 2,000 psi. The Artesia, N.M.-based company is underway at the parallel #001H Ocotillo Sunrise 15 WA BO Fee. The Wolfcamp venture has a planned depth of 17,310 ft, 12,556 ft true vertical, and is within one-half mile to the west in Section 15.
