Recent activity is within 1 mile to the east-northeast at a CountryMark Energy Resources workover. The #13 Trade is in Section 9-4s-1e and was deepened to approximately 4,200 ft in 2016, with no other details available. The original hole was drilled to 3,730 ft by MKE in 2016. Canton, Ohio-based MKE completed the nearby #3 Eyre, which was drilled in 2015 to 4,525 ft in Devonian. Two miles northwest of the #5 JL drillsite is Tamaroa Field in Perry County, which produces from pays in Cypress (1,120 ft), Trenton (4,135 ft) and Platteville (4,268 ft).
