The Texas General Land Office (GLO) and University Lands endowment are offering oil and gas leases in separate online auctions being handled by EnergyNet.
In total, more than 410,000 net mineral acres across the Lone Star State are for grabs.
Bids are due Aug. 1 for the GLO’s sale of 58 tracts. The offer includes 15,892.0533 net mineral acres in the Permian, East Texas and Gulf Coast Basin.
Separately, University Lands, which helps fund the University of Texas and the Texas A&M University systems, is accepting bids for 396,866.694 net mineral acres in the Permian Basin.
Bids are due in late September on 685 tracts located throughout the Delaware and Midland basins, the Central Basin Platform and the Ozona Uplift areas.
Potential buyers can register and prequalify for bidding on EnergyNet’s website. Instructions and user guides are available for online government lease sales.
