Description

BP Plc completed a horizontal Lewis Sand producer in Wyoming’s Great Divide Basin. According to IHS Markit, it’s the third horizontal producer in the greater Strike Field area and has the highest IP rate of all wells in the area. The #8-115H Luman flowed 1.293 Mbbl of oil/condensate, with 8.159 MMcf of gas and 1.122 Mbbl of water per day. The discovery is in Section 5-22n-95w in Sweetwater County. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,653 ft southwestward to 18,292 ft, 9,877 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 8-22n-95w and was tested on a 38/64-in. choke following 51-stage fracturing between 10,778 and 18,166 ft. BP is based in London.
