David T. Lawrence was appointed as a special liaison for the independent directors who are on the board of directors of Stone Energy Corp., the company said April 19 noting the recent decision to retain analysts and advisers for financial, transactional and strategic alternatives.
Lawrence is a current board member, Stone said. He will assist Stone’s management team in exploring strategic alternatives and restructuring.
Andrews Kurth LLP was hired as special counsel to the independent directors.
Stone Energy Corp. is based in Lafayette, La.
