The largest producer to date in the Bakken play - a Brigham Resources well in Alger Field - initially produced 5,133 bbl. of oil equivalent per day (4,335 bbl. of oil and 4.79 million cu. ft. of gas). The #1-H Sorenson 29-32 is in Section 29-155n-92w in Mountrail County, N.D., and produced from a two-section, Middle Bakken lateral. Austin-based Brigham used 27-stage fracture stimulation and perf-and-plug with ceramic proppant. According to IHS Inc. the 24-hour peak flow back rate was 3,511 bbl. of oil equivalent (2,944 bbl. of oil and 3.4 million cu. ft. of gas). The venture is in the company's Ross prospect and Brigham holds a 95% working interest in the well which is on 1,280-acre spacing. Additional completion information is not available.
